    VideoSync v0.1.0 - Desktop Client Alpha

    This is the very first release of the VideoSync Windows Desktop Client!

    Features

    • Watch Together: Real-time synchronized playback (play, pause, and seek) for you and your friends.
    • Built-in Chat: Live, real-time text chat in every room to communicate while you watch.
    • Room Matching: Automatic verification to make sure everyone in the room is watching the exact same file file size/name before joining.
    • Standalone App: Packaged as a single Windows executable (No Python backend installation required).

    Installation

    1. Download VideoSync.exe attached below.
    2. Make sure you have VLC Media Player installed on your computer.
    3. Double click the executable to run the app.

    (Note: The first time you launch VideoSync.exe it may take a few seconds to extract hidden files).
